There are several traditional, non-traditional and religious activities performed in wedding ceremonies. Each religion has separate rules for wedding ceremony that follows during wedding ceremony. But the most common ritual that is performed in almost all wedding ceremonies is ‘Wedding Vows’. The types of Wedding Vows may be different in terms of country, religion, culture and tradition but it is still now focal activity of wedding ceremony. Wedding Vows are the words those are spoken by both bride and groom for each other to accept as a husband or wife. Bride and groom take wedding vows in presence of family members, friends and guests. Actually Wedding Vow is permission for an adult girl and boy to live together as husband and wife.
In some traditional weddings Wedding Vows are read by third person and bride, groom accepts it. It means that bride and groom both are agree for wedding as well as accept each other as life partner without any pressure. Even some wedding couples choose their own loving words, embellishments, funny promises such as ‘I promise to always make your favorite apple pie’, and more. Thus wedding vows has same importance in wedding as was ancient time, only its form has changed with time.
