Garrett Foster had no time for cold feet just before his nuptials last weekend.

Garrett Foster the Toutle area volunteer firefighter was on his way to the rehearsal dinner. Friday night, when his beep pager indicates that fire was in progress to his Toutle neighborhood.

After some time, he got other details from the correspondent that fire made his spine tingle “white, two story house.”

Foster said Monday “That’s the worst thing I ever heard,” when he was speaking from a mobile phone while driving back from his honeymoon. “This is a firefighter’s most horrible fear to hear their address.

All the things of wedding like tuxedos, marriage license, wedding rings, wedding presents, Maribeth Foster’s dress and other items for Saturday’s wedding ceremonial were in the house.

The fire started from the deck and extends to the balcony. Chase and Dakota Branhorst Two children, marked by the fire, and Ron Smith neighbor was helped to save the house, Maribeth Foster wife of firefighter said.

Smith broke down the doors and went to the house to make it sure that nobody was in, the incredible part was a neighbor was able to put the fire is confirm,” Schaffran said. “They’re very lucky, otherwise it could have got inside and they could have lost everything.”

The reason of the fire remains strange.

Firefighters got an extra adrenaline from the knowledge, “A fire is a fire,” Schaffran said, but when a firefighter’s residence is burning.

Maribeth Foster is grateful for her neighbors for helping to save her residence, saying their rapid, selfless events show why she lives in Toutle.
