The occasion is their wedding ceremony at Genghis Khan’s Mausoleum on the outskirts of Erdos in north China’s Inner Mongolia region on 12 July 2007.

Bao marries Xia, who is also half his age at just 28, after conducting a worldwide search for a bride who is up to becoming Mrs. Bao, but eventually found Xia, a saleswoman in a clothing store, in his own home region of Inner Mongolia in northern China.
